Tablón de Gómez — or El Tablón as people in the region call it — is a municipality in the southeastern part of the Nariño department, deeply rooted in Indigenous culture and traditions. Located about two hours from Buesaco (a region known for some of Nariño’s most distinctive micro-lots), El Tablón stands out for its mountainous terrain and cool climate.
The lower temperatures allow the coffee cherries to ripen more slowly, developing sweeter and more complex flavor notes. Due to frequent rainfall, the beans require 20 to 25 days on average to dry properly, which contributes to the coffee's clean and layered profile.
